NSCC alumnus Sean Reid currently serves as a member of the Massachusetts State House of Representatives, but it took the support and encouragement he experienced at 91桃色视频 Shore to begin to realize his potential. As a first-generation college student, Sean hadn鈥檛 yet formed his academic goals or identified a career interest when he joined NSCC in 2013. Thanks to NSCC鈥檚 comprehensive student support, he was able to focus on his strengths and interests and chose the Liberal Arts Transfer Program. This offered Sean exposure to many educational options to further his education as well as an affordable pathway to pursue a bachelor鈥檚 degree. After tackling an economics course and successfully completing his first semester, a professor recognized his potential and recommended he enroll in NSCC鈥檚 Honors Program. Sean soon transferred to top-ranked Amherst College, earning a bachelor's in economics, but he didn't stop there.
Starting as an aide and working his way up to becoming legislative director, Sean started his government career in the office of Massachusetts State Senator Brendan Crighton. In 2024, Sean was elected representative for the state's 11th Essex District, which covers Nahant and West Lynn, and he also serves on the Lynn School Committee.
